Why should Justin Trudeau Legalize weed right now!

With all the recent hype and Justin Trudeau promising to legalize marijuana I thought it would be good to have a discussion on why marijuana needs to be legalized asap!

Personally I am in full support of the legalization of marijuana for reason that I’ll outline below.

VANCOUVER, BC: JULY 01, 2011 — Approximately 1000 marijuana enthusiasts, including Jodie Emery, wife of jailed pot activist Marc Emery, and assorted supporters congregated at the Vancouver Art Gallery Friday, July 1, 2011 for the annual Cannabis day festivities to celebrate all things green and to coincide with Canada day. The event included a cannabis farmers market with open sales of marijuana, hash, cannabis edibles and all manner of smoking devices and paraphenalia. • Marijuana is probably not good for your lungs when inhaled in the form of smoke.
  • Marijuana may trigger mental illness in younger users that are preconditioned to this disease.
  • Legalizing may temporarily increase usage.
  • The government screws just about everything up, at least in the short-term.
  • Marijuana is considered by some to be a gateway drug. I don’t buy this for 1 second but I felt that it needed to be listed.
  • Effects on short-term memory?

  • It is a very effective medicine.
  • Legalization will cripple the main source of income for organized crime and gun runners. Some will say that they will just move onto other things but I find this an absurd argument. There is no reason to believe that organised crime is not trying to maximize all avenues of profit today.
  • Legalization will make it more difficult to source for minors in the same way that cigarettes and booze are today. Nobody is saying impossible but definitely much more difficult.
  • Legalization will create a massive revenue stream from the Canadian taxpayer.
  • Legalization will ensure quality control.
  • The laws surrounding the legalization of marijuana are completely ineffective and virtually impossible to enforce.
  • The majority of Canadians fully support the legalization of marijuana. Some polls say as high as 70%.
  • In order for a crime to be committed there needs to be a victim. Marijuana usage is victimless.
  • Countless lives have been ruined due to criminal records imposed for the conviction of possession of marijuana (so I guess it isn’t totally victimless).
  • Most street-level dealers supplement their businesses by drawing taxpayer funded social assistance.
  • Legalization will free up much needed law enforcement and judicial resources allowing them to focus on crimes that have real victims.
  • Nobody has ever directly died from the usage of marijuana and driving while impaired happens more today than it would after legalization.
  • Marijuana (hemp) can be used for countless industrial purposes.
  • Crime rates in countries with full legalization are considerably lower than those in North America.
  • Personal liberty. Why should the government be able to tell you what you can and cannot do in the privacy of your home when it has zero impact on others?

In my opinion, all drugs should be legalized, some decriminalized. Take Portugal for example, Since decriminalization of drugs “Drug use has declined overall among the 15- to 24-year-old population, those most at risk of initiating drug use, according to Transform.”

Cloverfield sequel coming this March! (Official Trailer)

I wake up and suddenly theres a Cloverfield sequel that JJ has kept us completely in the dark about for years? And the teaser trailer is actually really good? And it’s already filmed and coming out in March?!

I’m not fully convinced I’m awake yet!

Watch the trailer.

JJ confirmed its a Cloverfield sequel with this quote

“The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”

JJ played the long con. He directed SW:TFA only to let its hype be a distraction away from a sequel to Cloverfield.

Mathew Santoro On His Violent Ex (Nicole Arbour)

A popular youtuber Mathew Santoro posted a 14 minute video of his experience with his violent ex. aka. Nicole Arbour, most hated woman on the Internet right now. I think Nicole is a terrible person, she brags about getting all this attention she’s getting after her fat people video. She posted a video mocking “fat” people while failing to deliver a single joke.

The big part of this story is Mathew, and all other men who are victims of domestic abuse who don’t report it because of societal norms and the pressure inflicted on them to not come out and talk about their experiences being victims of abuse. We live in a machismo society that tends to look down on men that do come out and say they’re victims and that needs to change!

Mathew even said she physically assaulted him when he tried to leave the house after breaking up with her! This woman needs to be arrested, putting your hands on someone isn’t right, whether you’re a man or a woman!

Hassan Al Bash: What happened to him?

Ok I’m going to start this by saying that I never knew Hassan in real life nor interacted with him on a personal level. I used to follow him for a while on twitter and was intrigued by his level of maturity and understanding and he seemed like a nice guy overall – until a couple of hours ago as of the time I’m writing this post where tweets were passed around about his death and some that he’s missing and the police are looking for him . Hassan Al Bash is a 21 year old Bahraini studying in Newcastle University in the UK.

@MahdiJAli Tweets:

While just an hour ago  @Mohammed_Lori tweets:

The GDN released this news report which falls along the line of @Mohammed_Lori ‘s tweet .

Bahraini student missing in Britain

  Posted on » Thursday, January 05, 2012

“MANAMA: A 21-year-old Bahraini student in the UK has been missing for the past five days, reports MOHAMMED AL A’ALI.

Sources told the GDN that university student Hassan Al Bash had left his jacket on a bridge in Newcastle, England, on New Year’s Eve.

His father, Mahmood Al Bash, who is a lawyer, told the GDN that he was planning to travel to the UK to try to find more information.

“According to the latest information given to me, my eldest son is still missing, and I am waiting for more details,” he said.

The Northumbria Police were unable to disclose any information.”*

At this point I’m really confused. I can’t explain how saddened I am by these horrifying news & I can’t possibly imagine how his family and close friends must be feeling right now.  I just hope he’s still alive somewhere and if  not then my prayers goes to the victim and his family and may he  rest in peace.

Below is Hassan’s  Blog that he never got to start, It’s very unfortunate that we might not come to see what Hassan Has to say.

Al Ayam just posted this chilling news report on their website at: http://www.alayam.com/mobile/newsdetails.aspx?id=37732

7-up for an upset stomach. Does it really work?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now because as far as I can remember whenever I got sick or had a upset stomach as a child my mom would tell me to drink a can of 7-up and everyone seems to advice me to do the same .. up till now people still chug a cold can of 7-up when they have stomach pain so this induces the question; does it really work or is it just a myth?

So Do it really work ?

The answer is yes.

It’s mainly due to the carbonation of these beverages, or the tiny bubbles. They ease the stomach by helping you burp, and getting rid of the acidity and gas.

So everytime you get an upset stomach just crack open a cold one and enjoy!

Also remember to keep hydrated especially during the winter, you don’t have to drink up to 8 eight glasses a day of plain water, you can substitute with juices and milk.

Around my city.

So for my first official post I thought I’d show my city just because I really don’t know what to blog about. That & that my life life is boring and nothing interesting ever happens so yeah. Enjoy the random pictures that I took with my trusty Iphone 4 and I have to say I’m really impressed with the quality.

Above is my apartment building I live in. It’s nice and all but don’t be fooled! It’s right downtown and the area can get noisy at night; also it’s on a major bus route. I’m planning to move out once my lease is up.

I love this picture & I love this place, it’s a 5 minute walk from where I live I just love to come here and watch the boats go by, there are cafes and restaraunts on the boardwalk underneath but I never tried them but that’s something I’m thinking about doing once the winter is over.

This is the other side of the Rideau canal in the picture above; No boats here though.

Parliement hill.

Look at this cute dog!

A Vending machine to rent movies! Now that’s something I want to see in Bahrain!

last pic is just some random Cute couple .. #ForeverAlone

Ok now that I threw some random pics at your face you will come to realize that I have a serious case of ADHD given how random the pictures were. Don’t judge!!
